he just stuck his hand in the beehive and gathered up some honey! Granted, he took a ride on a red balloon and had to cover himself in mud to do so.

All this to say, will someone please raise some honeybees for me? My honey jar is almost empty!

Business & Fun

As much as I love technology, I can't give up my to-do lists. I feel so great when I get to check something off.

Today, I was feeling so overwhelmed with my work/grad school to-do list, that I forced myself to write a fun to-do list, too. I felt better within 2 minutes of writing it. I forgot to include "be done with grad school" to that list though. Trust me, its on there in spirit.

Forever

That's how long its been since I posted--forever. Here's the deal: I'm busy. Very, very busy. After next week, I'll be less busy--my Master's will be finished! FINISHED! Really! Then, more time for blogging. Until then, here's a taste of what's been going on in my life:

The first few of these are from my birthday celebration with friends. We went and painted pottery at Potter's Obsession, then ate at Outback, and 4 of us wild ones went gambling afterwards. Super fun day! There were also 3 of us fun girls who wore purple feather eyelashes. F.U.N.

Busy Week!

This week was full of so much fun that I didn't even have time to blog about it!

My bulletin board

Monday night found me at the Cedar Rapids Country Club, meeting the new Iowa State president and enjoying a complimentary glass of wine. Ritzy, I know. I made my roommate call it "Titanic" instead of country club. Seriously, it looks slightly like Titanic!

 Tuesday was our first book club meeting. We read The Night Circus and wore black & white & red to show how we were reveurs of the circus. 

Wednesday was the day: Titanic 3D. I can't wait to go again! Next time, I will be without the recorder, shown below. 

Thursday night was Bible study & the kick off to "spring break." What beter way to celebrate than with a hot fudge sundae from McD's and good conversation with a good friend?

Got to deal with the dog begging for jellybeans on Friday and Saturday. Pitiful.

And I couldn't end the post with a food picture. My mama made these "super dogs" on Saturday. Hot dogs, ketchup, mustard, pineapple preserves, garlic herb mayo, and cheese. Broiled--interesting.

End of March

Here are some photos from the last week! (This has turned into a more weekly habit, than daily.)

I planted some herbs last weekend. Lime basil, cilantro, rosemary and spearmint. All I really care about is the mint. Hoping they come up!

Ate some more orange leaf--only one of these is mine, though. The banana frozen yogurt=bliss. 

Since I never eat red meat, I thought tonight I might. Made a hamburger wrap--hamburger, lettuce, onions, yellow pepper (I'm a sucker for peppers), and sweet pickles. The sauce was a mayo/ketchup/mustard combo. The sweet pickles are a must. They make everything better.

Yes, I bought this little puzzle and put it together. Yes, I'm obsessed with Titanic.
