A Boring Thanksgiving Break Post

So apparently I spent a lot of time enjoying Thanksgiving break and not taking any pictures!

Played some Trivial Pursuit this weekend. I always got excluded from this game as a kid because I was too little. Not so much now!

We also played Phase 10 and drank gin & tonic and watched basketball.

I moved my couch the other day and found where Pacino has been hiding his mice....

This is the new drone I got for school. I've brought it home twice and flown it around. Pacino does not like it one bit. 

My 8th pair of glasses arrived!

We spent the whole weekend like this. He is mostly just trying to stay warm, but he does like me.

I worked on eating this all weekend too. I hadn't made cheesy brat stew forever!

This is after we saw Mockingjay Part II on Friday night. Amazing movie!

New glasses & a new book arrived in the mail on the same day. A librarian's dream.

On Thursday, I accidentally wore the same outfit I had worn exactly a year ago. That's embarrassing.

I am appreciating my ability to stream games online to my tv. I watched the ISU vs Drake women play last Sunday.  As much as I always want ISU to win, it was cool to see Miller's niece playing for Drake and winning the game for them.

To celebrate Veteran's Day, we have a wall of honor at school--I hung up my cousin Lisa's picture!

On Monday, I wore my whale sweater and my new whale socks. Talk about coordination! 

Got some new games this weekend--and they all sucked! We tried Star Wars Monopoly, Monopoly Then & Now, and Clue. Clue was fun, of course, but the others were very boring and nothing like Monopoly. 

Currently doing a Mock Caldecott unit at school. We are trying to predict which book will win the Caldecott medal in January. These are the books I was able to get my hands on this weekend and read. Current favorite is The Night World, I think. However, a new one I got today called If You Plant a See might get my vote...still about 8 left to read!

Cycloneopoly is still fun...even though we lost the football game.

I played Bonkers for the first time in a LONG time. It was fun and it is different every time, which makes it even better!

I paid for a month subscription to Cyclone.tv. There are only a handful of games on it, but I don't want to miss any!

I took a little work break to the AEA last week and played with this robot. My friend Stacy let me bring him home to play! And thankfully, I was able to order 4 just like this for school.

Halloween Week!

I'm pretty sure these new socks I got are my new lucky ones! Great victory last night with them on.

Pacino apparently got bored on Wednesday while I was at school. He knocked the humidifier off of the counter, uprooted the poor aloe plant, and shattered a drinking glass. I truly think he's part dog.

He'd never met a pumpkin before--I'd hate to see what he would do if I had left him alone with that!
