Some School Updates & Other Fun

If he lays on my paperwork, its not really my fault I didn't get it done...

Our last Wednesday night Fruitzen of the summer!

I finally had my favorite meal of the summer the other night! And, I'm going to have it again tomorrow for lunch & dinner. And maybe even breakfast.

He's too handsome not to share.

I've been eating out for every lunch, because there are no refrigerators in my building yet. I even went to the Tic Toc, which is about as classic CR as it gets. I hadn't ever been there before! Talk about a dive bar :)

I ran fresh out of coffee on Friday and I was exhausted, so I took this Monster to our first official staff meeting. 

Here are some pictures of the library! I was finally able to get in this week. It is obviously a mess, but it gets better every day.

Played several games of bingo on Saturday night at the Sweet Corn Festival. It is one of my favorite summer things in CR.

Had some fun at Canvas & Cupcakes on Friday night. We had an instructor that gave us a little painting lesson. It was really fun to see how everyone's turned out.

This was the appetizer stop on our restaurant hop. We went to Zepplin's for drinks, Lion's Bridge Brewery for appetizers, Butcher Block for dinner & White Star for dessert. We ended the night with some karaoke! It was a very fun way to celebrate Delaney's birthday.

A fun week!

Last week included Nashville, a Kernel's game, and a Chris Tomlin concert! What a super fun week. Now, it's back to work, and I got quite the surprise when I got there--100's of boxes of books! Other than that, been a pretty average week.

Before the concert got started with Becki & Katie. I can't believe I've never gone a concert at the Jones County Fair until now...I will be going every summer from now on!

I enjoyed my first ever trip to the Kool Moo yesterday. Similar to Starbucks in Nevada, except its only ice cream and you can't go inside. 

All of my stuffed animal book characters are at home right now, since they can't be at school. Pacino has taken to dragging them out of the hamper they're in. Apparently he needs a friend.

The amount that he loves the lint roller always cracks me up.

He isn't snuggly often, but I'll take what I can get.

Nashville

Here are a bunch of shots from our trip, in no particular order...

Going to the Opry was the first time I really geeked out. It was awesome to see a place where everyone who has ever been anyone in country music has been.

Bike Riding

I have lots of pictures from Nashville to share, but there are so many that it's going to take awhile to sort through them! Here's what I've been up to post-trip---biking! 

We biked 15 miles up to Center Point to eat lunch at Joensy's. It was SO good! The 15 miles back didn't feel quite as good, however...

This was on Thursday after our 23 mile ride...then turned around and went 30 today! My legs & butt will appreciate being off the bike for a few days.
