Lotta Green

Took a little bike ride today. It's nice to be able to ride a few miles north and find so much green & some water! Feels like being in the country.

I bought these 4 dishes for $2.42 at an antique shop in Mt. Pleasant, then found some great succulents at Lowe's to plant inside of them. I think they turned out pretty good! Now we'll find out if they stay alive....or if Pacino gets to them first. I think I'm going to take two of them to school, so that might help with the Pacino factor.

We went to see The Little Mermaid Saturday night at Theater Cedar Rapids. It was really good! They have a few other shows I'm hoping to go to this year, including Sister Act, Beauty & the Beast, and Peter Pan.

Cousin photo at Bailey's graduation party. Just missing the two little ones.

Me & the graduation girl!

Google took me a STRANGE way to get down to Bloomfield. Thankfully it didn't take me the same way on the way home. It was a little scary.

Pacino in a bag.

Pacino greeting me like he does every day.

Pacino climbing my new $400 tv...this is his newest hobby. I wonder if the plants or the tv will go first?

Tech, Cats, School

The preschoolers made me this tootsie pop bouquet for teacher appreciation week. They are so sweet!

It was just gorgeous outside yesterday, so we went outside to read. Our new pergola isn't quite finished, but we used it anyway!

This popped up on my Timehop. It was 3 years ago. It's one of my favorite pictures of Pacino, it it made me realize how much he's grown up since then. He still causes trouble, but not nearly as much!

I went to a class on Wednesday where we had to make a duck out of Legos. Here's my shouting duck!

A 2nd grader drew these pictures of me and my coffee. Haha! They know me pretty well.

We had to cut a robot out of a girl's hair at the tech expo this week. That is something I've never had to do before!

Pacino actually let me sleep in past 7 last weekend! Both days! It was great. I think he enjoyed it just as much as I did.

Boring, Rainy Week

Well, it has rained all week which has lead to a pretty uneventful time here.

Pacino didn't want to get out of bed this morning...and maybe neither did I!

Biked 12 miles last Sunday. My legs weren't into it too much.

Started volleyball last Sunday, too. Thankfully it was nice Sunday night. Tuesday & Wednesday were pretty miserable for volleyball, but we played anyway.

Also bought some plants last Sunday after church. Got a tomato plant, some pepper plants, and another mint plant because I wasn't sure if the one I already had was going to make it. It seems to be back to life now, but all the plants could use some sunshine. So could I!

Pacino was watching some birds and making STRANGE noises. He always does this when he sees birds.

Two Months!

Just when I think I'll get better at updating, I don't. The last couple months have been very busy! Here's a partial recap:

A bunch of coworkers put cat gifts in my birthday presents--Pacino is loving it. I went to the bathroom last night and when I came out he was dragging around these catnip mice! Happy early birthday to him!

I'm taking a class about Makerspaces--this was my learning from night number one.

I ate two of these on my birthday. They were amazing.

Cat litter cake! Ha!

Here's my birthday table--presents & treats! Whoa!

Fake birthday tattoos before a day of adventure.

Dinner at 30Hop in Iowa City. This was up on the roof.

We got outfoxed at Outfox. They "lock" you in a room and then you have to solve a whole bunch of clues in order to "escape."

We ate appetizers at The Airliner--we had so much food!

This is a super cool wall in Iowa City.

We went to the Haunted Bookshop--there is a cat that lives there!

Pacino likes books too, but he's staying with me.

I maybe ordered myself some birthday presents.

Running club started at school. Every so often while running you get a mark. I got 7 last week & 8 this week. Not sure I'll get any higher than that. It was about 3 miles, I think.

Pacino got all snuggly the other night, right when I wanted to get up and do something, of course!

We went to the Iowa School Librarian conference. I met these 3 gals on Twitter, and now we're inseparable the 2 times a year that we're together. It's probably good that we don't live too close together.

Mr. John Schu spoke at the conference on Sunday night. He's like a celebrity librarian.

Spent a Saturday morning working on an outdoor classroom at school. It was so cold & windy, but we got the whole floor accomplished!

This was my "adult" night--Lego's, coloring, and wine.

Granny likes blue glasses!

Got to say goodbye to Georges Niang in Chicago at the Sweet 16. Pretty sure he's waving right at me in this picture.

Our view for the game was amazing!

Celebrating ISU winning it's 2nd tournament game. Miller didn't really care, but I did!

These are so good. I ate the container and didn't share a single one.
