...

So I just had this all typed up, and my computer ate it & didn't save! Ugh!

A bowl of apples is the best way to start a day!

My friend Patty knitted me this awesome hat! It is way cooler and better done than any hat from a store!

Some Cyclones love at work...unfortunately they lost Tuesday night.

2nd grade shoe twins!

Coffee, book, cat = a perfect Saturday morning.

Amy & I at The Pork Tornadoes concert last weekend. It was amazing (and LOUD!)

Dairy Queen is always good...when you find 4 gift cards and it's free, DQ is even better!

It was national guitar day, so I strummed a little tune.

Pacino is so handsome!

This isn't a good idea...

Life is Fun!

Last night we went to one of my fav restaurants, The Irish Democrat. They have awesome chicken strips and fries and cheese wantons. Plus their honey mustard is to die for!

The other night I mixed up some apples and ham into an omelette. Wasn't too bad--especially with a bite of sharp cheddar.

These treats found their way to my desk on Monday--jelly beans, cheese balls, and a chocolate cupcake.

We got a caricature done at comic con!

Me & my library lady Amy after her roller derby bout. They won by quite a bit & I kept my Power Ranger shirt on! :)

Here we are in front of the comic con backdrop.

Posing like Power Rangers with Ben, my red ranger friend at the comic con!

Also ran into this scary guy who turned out to be one of my kickball friends.

Me & my book nerd friend Kasi feeling rambunctious at school on a Friday afternoon.

2nd grade glasses twin! We both order from Zenni online.

I pretty much never want to take this shirt off. And the shades are pretty awesome too.

Snow Day, Light Bulbs, Party

It took all 3 of us to figure out how to change these lights in the kitchen. Well, Miller & I didn't do much once we couldn't figure it out...thankfully Colin knew what to do!

These pictures are what happened when I tried to change the bulbs in my closet. The cover apparently didn't fit on after putting bigger bulbs in it, and as soon as I walked away it fell on to the chair and smashed into a million trillion pieces. So that took about an hour to clean up, then I had to go to Menard's to buy a new one, and to buy the kitchen lights. So much for having a productive snow day!

The too-big bulbs. This was before the cover fell and broke...

This is my creation at adult coloring at the library last night.

Me & Granny & Gramps at their 50th anniversary party! And I think we're all smiling!

Mom & Dad dragged me to the grocery store the other night...they looked at all 47 kinds of lettuce Fareway had...

Watched both the women and men at the same time on Saturday. Both lost, unfortunately.

Pacino first was stuck in the bag, then was completely inside the bag, then had it hanging on his tail and was walking around Apparently he likes Target.

Lazy Weekend

Well, tonight I found a piece of metal sticking out of my tire. That's not so good. But thankfully there was a nice man who saw me struggling to change it and he came and put the donut on in less than 10 minutes. Turns out, he's a mechanic! I'm very glad he stopped to help--it would've taken me at least 45 minutes to change.

I also went to a Hawkeye basketball game today. Nothing like being at Hilton, but I like basketball enough to go. Plus the tickets were free, and we got breakfast beforehand.

This is what I wanted to be doing today--reading this book. It's called The War that Saved my Life. I started it last night and will hopefully finish it tonight.

I got this pretty sweet pink power ranger shirt in the mail. I'm going to wear it to the CR Comic Con in a couple of weeks!

Can you spot the cat? Apparently he was cold...

We took a little cookie dough break on Friday afternoon.

One of our office ladies brought me jelly beans--my favorite treat!

Beast!

Lunch was pretty much the best all week long. Salad, chicken patty, peppers, apples, pickles. One day there was even black olives. Yum.

Pacino knocked this over at 2:30am the other night. It's the humidifier that I bought to help him not feel so dry in the winter. This is the second one he's broken. And it spilled about a gallon of water on the floor in the middle of the night.

This is a cute list that a 3rd grade boy brought in to me on Tuesday. These are all the topics he wanted to find books about! They were words that he found in something he was reading that he didn't know much about, so he wanted to learn more! How cute is that?

Mostly Pictures of My Cat...

Got Orange Leaf the other night for the first time in awhile. It was a perfect Thursday night treat, and it turns out I have a $30 gift card--so it was free!

Pacino was pushing his tail down into the water to clean if off. I don't understand him...

My friend Becky sent me these nerdy socks that look like old school library checkout cards. They are awesome!

I sliced my thumb open trying to open up a banana peel the other day. My nail on my other finger must have been sharp!

Pacino got disgusted with the Cyclones and buried his head in his paws. That's how we all felt.

This is at the beginning of the game, when things were going well...

The cat loves the fireplace!
