Well, I had a lot of cooking mishaps today. First, I made a pot of coffee and some oatmeal when I got to work. We have a fancy coffee maker that also has a hot water spout. So, I brewed some coffee and while it was brewing I took the first cup full (it automatically stops when I pull the pot out). Well, it was pretty strong, so I decided to put more water in. Meanwhile, the "hot water" button was lit up, saying the water was hot, so I poured that into my oatmeal (forgetting that I had just poured more (cold) water in. All this to say, I had cold oatmeal & strong enough coffee that I was talking pretty fast, even still at noon.
I made a club pizza tonight, and got into a big fight with the saran wrap. Why can't all saran wrap be the industrial stuff that restaurants use? I'm a pro with that stuff!
And all this to wrap up some leftover bacon. I was telling my mom how you can't mess up bacon, and she replied, "the only bad bacon is burnt bacon." So true. So what did I do?
It's a little hard to tell, but the bacon is totally burnt. Especially considering you put it on the pizza and then bake the pizza. So I unwrapped the bacon from that plastic wrap and tried again.
Finally, successful.
