I had surgery, spent time recovering, went back to work 4 days later, had the last 3 days of the school year, hosted an all day karaoke party on the last day, was on the superintendent search committee, attended 2 board meetings, went to bed at 9pm 4 days in a row, finally felt good enough to clean the house this morning, and bought a train ticket for my summer vacation...among many other things, I'm sure. Whew.
Here are a few pictures from it all...I didn't take many this week, because it's been a bit busy.
The pattern on my lovely hospital gown...
My IV that took forever to get in and then they put it in about an hour and a half before I ever had surgery.
Cute look, huh?
Played this silly Magic card game with the kids the last week of school. I don't understand it at all.
This karaoke was my favorite--Reba sung by a 7th grader!
Granny bought me these mint plants and potted them for me. I now put mint in everything.
Sprite, plus cherries, plut mint. And a silly straw, of course.
Crystal Light lemonade infused with strawberries and mint. Yum.
Best part of surgery--Granny's m&m bars.
I didn't know these things used batteries, but I had to change the batteries in there!
Pacino has been very snuggly since I've returned. He's also back to biting, so we're back to a spray bottle. I now call him Richard Parker, which is the tiger's name from Life of Pi.
On the last day of school one student brought me an apple and one brought me a cupcake. Two of my favorite things.
Another karaoke snapshot. I could quit my job and be a karaoke host forever and not think twice about it.
