Saturday evening found me at Kernel's Stadium watching baseball. The Kernel's are doing very well this year, which makes going to the games a lot of fun. We even had an in-the-park homerun that we all stood up and cheered about.
Going to the game's is even more fun with friends like these!
After the game, there was a local band playing and then fireworks when it got dark.
I'm always rather impressed with the quality of fireworks after baseball games. They usually last about 20 minutes and there are usually 3-5 fireworks going off at once. Tax dollars hard at work, I'm sure.
And no night is complete without Orange Leaf. And now, they have these fancy cup dividers so that you can get THREE flavors without worrying about them blending together. That's enough to change my life.
We should probably be in Orange Leaf's new advertisement. Clearly we're pretty excited about the dividers.
Sunday's are my new favorite day, and last Sunday was no exception. The afternoon found us poolside. It was a perfect day for the pool, and the people-watching was lovely. Plus I was able to even out some strange tanlines from vacation.
Sunday evening found me playing slow pitch softball, which I hadn't done in a couple of years. I struck out once, pretty embarrassingly, but I scored a run and had a couple outs playing 2nd base. Plus, I got to wear tall socks. My favorite. Then, we went for food/drinks afterward, and found this Hellen Keller Twitter page. I haven't laughed so hard in a long, long time. It's slightly wrong, but so funny.
