Vacay Part 1: Dolphins, Bikes, Lighthouses

Disclaimer: my hair is entirely disheveled in every picture ever. We spent the morning on a windy boy, got rained on, sweat while climbing a lighthouse and while walking through a zoo. Humidity was terrible and the wind up on the top of the lighthouse was crazy! So, enjoy the pictures, but don't make fun of my hair. Thanks :)

Recreating a scene from Titanic while dolphin watching.

Spotted two small schools of dolphins. Was a fun boat ride. Though, when the boat turned around to take us back to dock, we noticed HUGE storm clouds behind us. Yes, while we were out on the ocean. Just part of the adventure. We got rained on a bit, but nothing major. The pictures of the clouds are on my camera, though, which means you won't see them until I'm home to my computer.

This is the lighthouse we climbs. 199 steps up to the top. The building in front of it is a place where the nuns of St. Mary's by the Sea take a summer retreat. They have quite the view.

We rented some bikes during our 3 hour layover in Washington DC and biked through the National Mall to see the Lincoln Memorial, since that was closed last year when we were there.

Ate some Columbian food at this great restaurant called Tierra Columbiana. Delish.

Mr. Lincoln and I.

Entertainment on the train: iPad game of Life.

The light at the top of the lighthouse.

The view from the lighthouse. Pictures can't really do it justice.

Wind blown me up in the lighthouse.

Seagulls are generally not my friends.

On the boat, ready to watch some dolphins.

My ticket!
