New Nails

I had to buy a magazine to do this--I bought People. I felt bad about it, but it had the best text for my nails. Much better than my mama's 1998 toy catalog. And yes, that is an exclamation point on my thumb. Exclamation points are my favorite punctuation, after all.

To-Do

I pretty much live very digitally, but one thing I can't give up is my paper to-do lists. I pwned my orange at-work to-do list last week. On my day off from school today I've been taking care of my green at-home list. I love lists!

Monday was a long day. I knew Tuesday would be a long day with conferences/book fair/robotics.

So I drank a whole pot of coffee. (Minus about 3 cups).

I was still tired.

Tea Time?

Turns out I have a quite the selection of tea.

I can't help it.

I've recently offended some people by saying that K is my least favorite letter (which is still true). So I was in the mood to color last night and drew this up. Just some great k-starting words. Consider it my peace offering.

Book Fair

Book fair is back! Set this all up Wednesday night, with some great help. If you're in need of some new books, you can order online through my fair (which I get about 60% of what you spend) and I will deliver the books to you. They only take about a week or so to come in!

The terriblest part of V-Day:

I almost died on the way to work. About 5 minutes after I almost died, this crash happened in almost the same place. If I had left my house 3 minutes earlier or 5 minutes later, this quite possibly would have been my last Valentine's day. Luckily for you, it wasn't! :)

Old School

I had my HDMI all hooked up from my computer to my tv to watch the Iowa State/Baylor basketball game. Unfortunately, it wasn't on ESPN3--which is lame--so I had to listen to it on the radio. This radio:

Pretty sure I've had this since I was 9.

In other news: cooked up some soup for dinner!

Sunday Night = Rest

Scored this tea @ Trader Joe's today. Perfect way to relax after a fun-filled, exhausting weekend: tea, guitar, Grammy's, king-sized bed.

Mini Road Trip

I went to Traer on Thursday night to watch the Wildcat girls play their district basketball game. We lost, but had a ton of fun driving there and back singing karaoke!

Instead, I went home and watched it on my normal tv: and of course, they lost.

Monday, Monday

I got suddenly inspired tonight to cook--like, one of everything I had.

So I made fajitas (orange/lime/woozy/rum) again. They were still delicious. A little more cayenne pepper this time, and all was well.

While rummaging in the freezer, I found the leftover cheese bread bites that I made a few weeks back. I didn't bake the whole recipe, so I made the rest tonight. I didn't really like them the first time, but tonight I baked them a little longer. They were definitely better--cheese, bread, crunch--can't go wrong!

And then, I got really crazy and made apple muffins. Wowzas.

Superbowl Sunday Snacks:

This was well before the superbowl, after church.

Nothin' fancy, but got the job done.

Poor Neighbors

Surely, my neighbors must hate me. Especially on Saturdays. Especially when I'm home alone.

I have the tendency to sing. And I found out karaoke party has My Heart Will Go On. Game over.

And then you know I had to pull my guitar out. (And, I had to use the pop color effect on my camera to showcase my new nail color.)
