Pacino's Habits

Pacino's new favorite thing is to go into the bath tub and cry until I turn the water on. Then, he closes the drain and plays in the water.

Here he is in the sink. If you look real close, you can see that he has water on his chin. It was too cute!

And, yesterday was National Jellybean Day...so naturally I ate the bag of jellybeans that some 8th graders brought me for my birthday! :)

Birthday/Wedding/Easter Weekend

Orange Leaf has this little photo opp on their door. Couldn't resist!

Speaking of Orange Leaf....I had to get birthday cake frozen yogurt since it was my birthday. There was another girl in line who shared the same birthday, and was also getting that flavor.

Here's my birthday selfie.

My friends spoiled me! Such fun gifts!

Here's a shot of all the Central City teachers at Lindsay's wedding. I'm sure more pictures of the wedding will be surfacing soon...I actually didn't take a single one!

I haven't been home much lately, but every time I sit down, Pacino comes running up quick to get some attention.

This is after we did the polar plunge. We survived!

My spearmint plant. Can't wait to put this to use! ((Also hoping the cat doesn't destroy it before I get it potted.))

A ring made from my great grandma's silverware.

And a charm necklace. It has a computer, books, a cat, a tea pot, and piano keys. Perfect for me!

Again, with the attention seeking.

And here's the video of our polar plunge. Hilarious!

Recap

Been busy again, no surprise. Here's the recap:

Elena came from New Jersey, so we spent the day at the Amana's drinking soda & tasting wine. Can't complain about that kind of day!

We stopped to play BINGO on our way to Ames. I learned after last time that I'm not a BINGO pro, so Elena got a computer and we shared marking the one (12) card(s).

With our fancy markers! We made a pit stop at Wal*Mart here in CR to find some, but they were sold out. And thankfully so, because they were only $1 apiece at the casino.

I had half of a styrofoam cup of Mountain Dew, then switched to lemonade. I also accidentally took a drink of someone's Mountain Dew last night, thinking it was water. It was so gross--partly because it was watered down, and partly because I was expecting water. I don't think I'll stop drinking pop completely, but I have been doing good at only having it once a week or less.

I got SO close a couple of times...

But at the end of the night, we ended up with a big pile of losing cards.

I wish you could see how fast her tail is wagging here.

More of dad's homemade ice cream! Plus sprinkles...always sprinkles.

It cracked me up that Maxine was laying like this. Weird!

My weekend was very easy to plan--my birthday, Gage & Taylor's birthday, a wedding, & Easter to celebrate!

Two of my favorite 8th graders snuck these into my room yesterday. I can't wait to munch on those next week!

Off to celebrate my birthday at breakfast with my friends!

Tuesday Musings

So, I thought it'd be fun to order coffee mugs with our picture from the Raging Idiots show on them. I looked at a few different online places, but realized I had a discount code for 30% through Target Photo, so I did that. What you can't see in this picture is that I put some text on the mug--the name of the band, the place & the date. However, I got the date wrong. So, I emailed the customer service and asked to change it or cancel the order. A lady responded and said she would cancel it. Naturally, I was surprised when the mugs showed up in my mailbox last week. And looking at my bank account--I never paid for them! I was going to reorder them...but my tea is tasting even better out of a free mug!

This is how someone took his Saturday afternoon nap.

A Sunday treat at Orange Leaf. Katie's is the boring one on top. Mine is the colorful, sprinkle filled one. My Granny always said that you should eat lots of colors! (She was referring to salads...but I'm going to reference frozen yogurt.)

Speaking of colorful--this is the only bag of Sweet Tart jelly beans I've had so far this year--and these are leftover from last year!

Just a selfie to show off my fun bracelet.

I wore all black to school today. And all neon on my run. Conflicted, maybe?

And here's the map of my run. I've taken the last two weeks off because I've been sick (and busy) so I took it pretty easy today--nice & slow. But, I think I burned off enough calories for those jelly beans...and enough to eat the rest of the bag tomorrow.

Long Time, No Post

Just when I thought I was getting better at posting...I go over a week with nothing! Yikes.

It's been a strange type of busy, plus I've been sick, and had some big things going on.

Here's a recap, sorry all the pictures are out of order:

Katie & Lindsay and I at Justin Moore. PS, I finally washed that outfit.

What's a post with a picture of this handsome guy?

We had finger mustache tattoos for Lindsay's bachelorette party last night. We couldn't get enough of them!

Me and the bride-to-be!

Me, Katie & Dixie.

Showing off our mustaches...except someone forgot theirs!

Maybe I'll get this tattoo instead of my other one...

Pacino was a sleepy guy. He konked out right there. And this morning, I woke up and he was sleeping right above my head on the pillow.

My delicious ice cream that I had to sit in a parked car to eat.

A couple of pictures from Justin Moore. It was a fun concert, but taking pictures at concerts is impossible unless you're right up front. We did move from our seats and get down on the floor--the pictures just don't show it very well.

This is the award that students gave me last week--the Bookworm Award! I can't get the pictures to turn, and I'm feeling lazy...so you can either turn your head or your laptop :)

Randy Houser was one of the openers for Justin Moore. He was better than I had expected.

Yesterday was the last day of our challenge, so I busted out a soda today. This is the one that I got in Wisconsin. It's bottled at a brewery there. It was good, but I'm having a Pepsi tomorrow.
