Kickball!

I always have fun playing kickball with Dark Victory, and this year was no different. It was their 20th anniversary of playing & we ended up winning the tournament! We played 5 games and went undefeated...none of them were even close. The trophy should be arriving soon!

Had to start the day off right--Monster, water & Mike's!

A group shot after winning. Fun!

Annnd my battle wounds. It actually looks quite a bit worse now than it did there.

Here's what it looked like yesterday. Most of it has scabbed over now, so it isn't as oozy. I'm thankful volleyball was canceled tonight so that I didn't have to play with it!

Overdue

I have a lot to update about, but I keep trying to post from my phone and it doesn't go through. In the meantime, here are a few pictures from last weekend!

Me & Katie after the color run!

I LOVE Uptown Friday nights at the new amphitheater downtown on the river.

Another post-run shot.

Group picture! Humps = big, big hills during the run.

At the balloon glow!

Crazy eyes at Uptown.

Whole group after the run.

Delaney & I. So fun!

Victory!

Watching the color cloud from afar. We were in the middle of it twice, and it was crazy!

The Uptown sunset view!

This picture just cracks me up. He was passed out on his back and it was so cute!

Right before he passed out...

The view at the winery the other night--there was a band & they released little lanterns. It was really fun, and of course the wine was good.

On Sunday, I wore my red, white & blue to cheer on the USA!

The balloons glowing.

My green pepper plant has FINALLY started growing. He's a late bloomer.

My tomato, on the other hand, is thriving. Lots of little tomatoes!

I have lots of other things to catch you up on, but that'll come later!

Whoops

I spent most of my Saturday night doing this. It was quite relaxing!

I love when people have birthdays because it usually means I get to eat Orange Leaf.

I also love when other people have birthdays because I usually end up buying myself a present. As was the case here. I bought myself a tea steeper at the same time I bought one for Katie. Then, we went to Teavana in Iowa City and spent $70 EACH on tea. That got out of hand quickly and we had to leave. We may have hyperventilated once or twice on the way home. It IS good tea, but dang.

The steeper is awesome. I've been wanting one for a long time--these are the ones they have at a coffee shop near my house where we go a lot.

I've been working at Prairie to process the guided reading sets. Hundreds of sets of 6-10 books. Pretty mindless work, but very time consuming. Gonna work at it a bit here and there through the summer.

Pacino liked the puzzle too...but he wasn't very helpful. I didn't trust him enough to leave it out, so I worked for an hour or so and took it apart.

Here's my confirmation email that we are allowed to sit in on a few segments of the Bobby Bones Show in July in Nashville! Road trip time!

Long Week

This has been such a long week, with the end of school & saying goodbye to all my kids and friends. I didn't take a lot of photos, but here's some since the last post:

Pacino has been lonely since I haven't been home. He watched me cooking one night!

I finally remembered that I forgot his birthday and got him a new toy. Which he promptly destroyed.

The fancy, professional grade spray paint was on super sale so I bought a few!

One of my projects was switching out my glass door for the screen. It isn't perfect, but it lets in some air! Pacino really likes it.

I found these mini crates at Michael's and spray painted them cute colors. Need to hang them somewhere tomorrow.

I made Arnold Palmer Chicken, of sorts. Marinated some chicken in this, along with some Oregano, my new favorite spice. It was okay, but it needed to marinate way longer than the hour I did it.

This is all the staff that came to my Titanic themed going away party. I'm going to miss these people so much!

I was Rose, of course. Everyone had a name of a person that was actually on the ship and they found out at the end of the night if they lived or died.

Iceberg cupcakes!

Lifesavers. Get it?

These were the decorations. The cards on the bottom were boarding passes, and each person wrote a note to me on it. There were also gloves and a hat.

These are all the gifts--I am too lucky!

This was my last book quote in my window at school.

Pacino has taken up art, apparently. He loves dragging this foam brush around.

Party with middle school kids!

Super sweaty after a trip to the trampoline park.

I managed to spray black spray paint all over my fingers, plus cut myself.

Getting some air!

Miller showed off with flips!

Pacino getting some much needed attention.
